VHPAF Membership Statistics

Welcome to the Membership page for the Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Association of Florida (VHPAF).  If you are already committed to membership with us, please click on this link for our Membership Form to expedite your request.  Print the form, complete the required information, and mail (along with your personal check for applications) to the address on the form.  Thank you for your support!

If you are not yet ready to commit to membership with the VHPAF, let's talk.  To begin with, the qualifications for being a regular member are limited to only two issues:

1. You served as a helicopter pilot in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam Era (1961-1975).
2. You fulfill the dues requirement for membership.

     What are your responsibilities?  As much or as little as you are willing to contribute.

What do you get in return?

1. A semi-annual Newsletter with articles of interest and information about recent activities and upcoming events.
2. A chance to find and meet old friends or even "stick buddies" from Flight School or Vietnam.  It happens all the time by going to the Reunions, attending VHPAF scheduled activities and events, or through the newsletter.
3. The opportunity to contribute articles or photos of interest to the newsletter or this Web site.
4. The honor of helping us serve our communities and to participate in "showing the colors" at various Events throughout the state.

Frequently Asked Questions regarding membership

1. I know a person, company, or organization that does not meet the service requirement for regular membership in the VHPAF.  Is there a place for them if they are interested?
   YES.  There are other categories of membership for friends of the VHPAF.  Contact our Membership Chairman for more information.
   
   
   
2. How often are the reunions in Florida?
   We host an annual reunion and general membership meeting every year.
   
   

3. How is the VHPAF organized?
   
   We have elected Officers, a board of directors, standing committees, and steering committees for special events and tasks.  The President also appoints Area Vice Presidents for several major population centers throughout Florida.
   
   
   
4. Do I have to be a Florida resident to join?
   No. We have many members from surrounding states and around the country who have chosen to affiliate with the VHPAF.
